A Gathering on Yellow

This little flower proved very popular.
As usual at this time of year there are masses of pollen beetles Meligethes aeneus about - a lesson soon learned is not to wear yellow on the allotment or when going for a walk in July/August!
Pollen beetles do help pollinate plants, but they're also trouble because they nibble holes in leaves and certain veggies. Having said that we just live with them and courgette flowers are always full of them!
The shieldbug sitting in the centre of the flower could be a Apolygus Lucorum but I'm not that good at identifying these bugs. I love this website though!
